Some Other Things I am Working On.

This summer I will begin training to volunteer with Literacy Volunteers of Rochester, NY. I went to a preview session, liked what I saw and filled out an application.

I was a bit concerned about whether they would take me on because of my difficulty speaking, but they were fine with that. Marie will be coming with me to help.

I will be helping with basic reading and may even help with computer skills and basic math.

I'm really excited about this and look forward to the opportunity. I have a link to Literacy Volunteers on my links page.

Going Back to School

Guess what? In September, 2008, I will be going back to school. I am going take a writing course called Personal Writing. It is about writing from personal experience. I think it will be very good for me. I will post some of my writing here.
